Yes they do exist. Picture taken in 2014 on the hill south of Goat Canyon. They have drop down wheels that fit the track. I think the next tunnel is partially blocked from a slide.

You won't see them out there now..... at least not in their vehicles. (That vehicle setup is called a Hi-rail by the way.) With zero maintenance in the gorge there's zero chance of a vehicle getting through on the tracks. The Border Patrol would occasionally use a Hi-rail vehicle to patrol the gorge.
I don't know if the RR police still patrol out that way and there would be questions to their ability to enforce anything anyway.

The large rail cars are still derailed near De Anza resort, any access would have to come from Dos Cabezas. There are dozens...yes dozens of cyclists and hikers almost every single weekend going out to the trestle, there is no way they will enforce anything right now without massive effort. In the last 2 years I have seen several groups of 10 or more motorcyclists on the tracks, tourist groups shuttled in from baja and the De Anza resort now putting up no parking signs all along the road...it is really bad now.

Last year the tracks were like a highway at rush hour. really full of people out enjoying what they do. I was surprised when I saw this one on the bridge.

This guy was pretty determined to do this. He wheeled from the east coast just to do the gorge.
