Parks are closed it gave me an excuse to go after PAH. It was a lot harder than I thought to be my age. I had to markers on my GPS one I believe was false so I tried to get the other. I got boxed in by some boulders and called it quits. For something thats only about 1/2 mile away sure is a tough one to get to.. Got within 130ft of the first target. Well, It was a nice day out. Ran out of putz but I know the route better to get to it next time.

I think you did it in the heat also. I'm not done. Need to get this one. Spotted 2 herds of the sheep.

Amazing to be in a place so remote hard to get to then look down to find someone lost his shoe. Right near the peak.

How do you "lose" your shoe out there..??
"Oh, look my shoe is gone...no biggie, I have another in my pocket"
I think it probably fell out of an airplane

Glad you got out! And a sheep sighting! Can't wait to visit the area again when this is over. Something tells me I'll be doing a lot of summer trips this year.

I have successfully bagged Spring which is about 5 feet from the road, found that Loaf has been vandalized and missed finding Pah since incorrectly located on the topo map. Daren knows where Pah is. My favorite BM site is https://www.ngs.noaa.gov/CORS-Proxy/NGSDataExplorer/

Next time I'll go up where I came down. Shorter steeper route gives me more time once up on top.

Adds a few miles. Some places on the island where I want to explore, I park off the freeway and jump it. Traffics not heavy on it. But my vehicle is hidden from view also when possible.

Ah, didn't consider that. Would make it easier.

Great sheep shots. It's messed up that the topo map has PAH at the wrong location. Probably not visited/used often.
