Sorry been off the forum for a bit. I was out in Vegas for a conference.
On the way out I took a few bloom pics
Desert Dandelions along the I-15 near Barstow.
Joshua Trees near Barstow.
Just outside of Las Vegas we toured this cactus garden that was pretty cool.
Mary had found the cactus garden online. Turns out it was on the grounds of a chocolate factory....coincidence ? edited by surfponto on 4/2/2013

Saguaros are beautiful cacti. I have always wanted to find a Saguaro "boot." Found a few partials in Organ Pipe back in the day but never found a complete one. Maybe one day.

I saw a few of those saguaro skeletons in AZ this weekend! The ones I saw didn't have arms left:

Are you suggesting they have been cut off on purpose?

I don't think they were cut off??? They didn't have arms like the ones surfponto saw. Maybe they fall off or never had any, I am not sure.
