Hearing on the scanner that a camper by Clark Dry Lake saw a red flare and a flashlight up by Rabbit Peak tonight. Sheriffs are responding to the reporting party. Rangers are responding too.

I just saw their light and it's on the ridge leading away from parking at Truckhaven/Thimble Trail and S22

The moon is coming up and it's spectacular and blinding. Can't see over there very well. Hello seemed to not be Sheriffs.

ASTREA sees 10 people on mountain with a fire. He said they do not look in distress. The moon is really bright right now.

ASTREA told the group to call 911 to tell them they are okay. Now the light I saw was no where near where the helo is. He was using his p.a. To communicate with them. Too bad I can't tell them that the copter is not close to the flashlight.

I called Sheriff's dispatch and gave them the info, but the copter had gone westward to find a 5 year old that eventually was found in his house. Problem over!
