Hard to get places in Anza Borrego which require 4WD or hiking
Pinyon Valley Road Condition?

Has anyone been on this road to Whale Peak trail head or nearby? Curious as to the road condition. Many of the roads this year that use to be 2wd friendly were covered in deep sand due to the heavy rains.

Not sure about current conditions for that road but you are correct about many roads this year seem to be much more sandy.

Much is hard packed, some areas rough. Don't recall any sand. Never put rig in 4X4.
