Picasa Depreciation and Google Photos

So Google finally decided to depreciate the Picasa API which was the way I was pulling pictures into my AB BLOG site.
Suddenly I was getting 404 errors but at the same time I had really let the site kind of fall by the wayside as family stuff had come up etc.
Did some research on their developers’ site and they now require you to use Google photos and the Google Photos Library API which requires you to go through a few more hoops to get it to work.

Anyway, home sick today so played around with it and got it to work.
I guess they put a cap on using the API to 10,000 requests per project per day which I don’t think is an issue.

Looking at some of my old pictures has really motivated me to get back out into the AB desert a bit more which is my goal this spring.
