My cork grips gave out. The poles have been my bud for many years and miles. So I replace them.

Nice work....I'd have to say my poles wear out way before the grips do....mostly 'cuz I use them to whack all the brush out of the way.

Haha Bush whacking. I feel I should have got the wally world cheapies. The price for the new grips modifying them to fit, now most likely the lower ends will break. They probably look like they should from the rock damage..

I repaired my cork grips with epoxy and shoegoo. Soon I’ll need to do a full replace like yours. I was thinking cork tape for bike handlebars might work well.

I use aluminum trekking poles because I would shatter carbon ones. Mine are bent, paint chipped but still work. I’ve had to replace the tips due to wear and snapping them off many times. I keep spares in the car.

My replacement is not cork but some foamy rubber. They feel pretty good I don't have straps anymore. Don't use them straps anywho. I too have aluminum poles. Wives are the cheap Wally world aluminum ones with a rubber handle. I don't like the way the grips feel.

Ditto. I use cheapo Kelty poles so it's easier to just get new ones when end up bent.

Looks like nice workmanship on the new grips.

Yucca stalks have come in handy a couple of times when I forgot a pole.
