For as many years as I can remember my wife and I have gone out to Anza Borrego on Thanksgiving, or the day after depending on obligations, and cooked a turkey.
We pretty much have grilling a turkey in a Weber BBQ down to a science.
One year we through caution to the wind and tried the Imu Pit Method of cooking a turkey which did not work too well.
Back to grilling after that year 
Anyone else have any desert turkey stories?
