Brewing The Foundation For Conservation Event

surfponto Administrator Posts: 1364 6/29/2015	surfponto Administrator Posts: 1364 Mary and I met up with some fellow Anza Borrego and craft beer lovers at Nickel Beer Company in Julian for the ABF fundraiser. Great event. The collaboration beer was an Oatmeal Stout that was finished with vanilla beans. Amazing. Great to meet all of the ABF people also. Cheers Outside of Nickel Beer Company that was once Julian's old jail house . Mary checks to see what's on offer at Nickel Beer Company. Enjoying the cooler weather with a couple Borrego Dark Sky Stouts. The brewery itself has a historical feel. The Borrego Dark Sky Oatmeal Stout that was brewed as a fund-raiser beer for the Anza Borrego Foundation. Tom Nickel is the head brewer and has brewed for Pizza Port as well as Oggi's. Here he describes what went into creating the Borrego Stout.
