Thanks for the link, Daren. Pretty amazing all this happened from a storm about 40 years ago. There's a lot of tamarisk regrowth upstream in the Jacumba area and I hope the predicted storms this Fall from El Nino don't undo all this hard work.
Do you know if the crews finished cleaning out Carrizo Gorge?? edited by tommy750 on 8/21/2015

We checked it out in March and it's a real mess, tamarisk everywhere, can't imagine they will be finished anytime soon. And probably almost impossible to get rid of. The San Sebastian March is about as bad.
