I was browsing through the digital archives here at UCSD and found this old postcard depicting Carrizo Gorge and the trestle.
| Inscription | California's Newest Scenic Marvel, traversed by the San Diego and Arizona Railway which also passes through the garden of Imperial Valley, that remarkable land below sea level, as fertile as the Valley of the Nile, and through that peaceful portion of scenic Mexico - Lower California, affording a novel experience not to be had on any other trans-continental journey.

I thought someone posted a similar picture before...I remember trying to pan around google earth to find the same spot but no luck.....
