In early fall we visited the four corners area.
Chaco was cold and clear:
It's too bad they have to put so many restrictions on hiking in the area. Too many looters.
The masonry was better than home:
Rock art everywhere, people on this forum would love it:
RIP Bears Ears:
Pictures do Valley of the Gods no justice:
There was wildlife in many places:
Atop the water pocket fold:
Zionesque but with no people:
Arches are everywhere, RIP Staircase/Escalante:
Those early settlers were tough, no modern vehicle is going down Hole-in-the-Rock anytime soon:

Did volunteer work via a Sierra Club trip assisting Moab BLM do site surveys for some "new park or monument" back in 2013 in what is now Bears Ears. Amazing area loaded with prehistory. Can't imagine in a hundred years anyone will be sad we didn't frack up or overgraze the area a little more than it all ready is. Really short sighted. Thanks for bringing attention to this, Buford.
