A hawk enjoying a new SPL tower
They are destroying McCain Valley and the Tule Wind Project will bring 100+ wind generators to the the valley. The helicopters are flying from sunrise to sundown, the valley is being bulldozed away for tower pads and laydown areas.

I noticed they are launching the helicopters from el monte road in Lakeside (out towards el cap lake). While driving up wild cat canyon I have noticed the helicopters flying with beams dangling from them.

yeah, I was out hiking El Cajon mtn a couple of weeks ago and saw them flying thru the valley. From what I have seen they are flying pallets (skids?) of equipment, generators, etc all day long. Even had a BLM ranger comment about how large the laydown areas and access roads are. It is awful....

That's to bad placing the wind farms there. The ones in Ocotillo haven't lived up to power expectations.

I was in McCain Valley today. What a mess. Got stuck behind a 10+ truck convoy. Had to wait for roadwork as well. At least the Sacatone overlook is still scenic. Saw some sheep on the desert floor earlier in the day.
