This may be off the edge for most folks so I would understand if nobody posts to this thread.....
Never found out what animal this came from but I found it many times on the trail last time I went up Telescope Peak

This looks like a cough pellet probably from an owl, crow or hawk. This is in Chollas Creek
Pretty big mountain lion scat, fresh. El Cajon Peak trail
Some random scat photos from different areas of ABDSP

Hee hee. A scat aficionado. I've definitely got to hike with you someday. You've built a good visual catalog there. I don't have a photo of my most interesting scat, but as I mentioned in another thread, my girlfriend found a probable mountain lion scat with deer hooves in it near Combs Peak. I've got the deer hooves in my office somewhere. This scat was much larger than surrounding berry-filled coyote scats. I've also found some scats of unknown origin with balloon streamer material in it, not good. - Jim

Oh man, I was eating lunch when I saw the 'scat soup' update. And Daren thought this thread would fade into oblivion....

This one looks more like a "pellet", something regurgitated by an owl. ??

There is all kinds of wildlife out in Cuyamaca, the deer are everywhere, probably saw 20+ that day I was out. Hawks, Kites, other birds I do not know the names of and oh yeah....the "wild" turkeys....must be hundreds of them running around everywhere. Some of the big open meadows have deer and turkeys just grazing around and people don't seem to bother them to much.

Not ABDSP, but there is something about finding Marmont Scat at about 13,000ft that only some can appreciate
