Just a short report. I camped Tuesday night (10/28/14) along Truckhaven trail and hiked up Palo Verde wash/canyon to the old prospect tunnel this morning. Was a perfect evening on the desert. Completely still and calm with overnight low about 70°. The hike up Palo Verde this morning was nice. Lots (and i really mean LOTS) of very fresh bighorn droppings and tracks in the wash but no actual animals seen. I felt they must have been very close but none seen.
Here is track of hike .. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/622772833
Beautiful time to be in the AB.

Yeah, the bighorn can be very elusive and they very well could have been watching you, they just blend in so well you may never see them. Thanks for the report!

Great Report. I stopped by that mine years back. I was on my way to the " Natural Rock Tanks" . Anyone know what they were looking for at that prospect ?

I always assume little prospects are looking for gold but i don't know for sure. I've been to the rock tanks a couple times but didn't go that far this time.

Did the tanks have any water? Enough for the BHS that you saw all the scat from?
